Detailed Description
Mal is a shorter-than average unicorn mare from Northern Trottingham. She has a messy red mane and tail, bright green eyes, a thick, floofy tan coat with chocolate brown spots, ear tips, hooves, and muzzle. The colour of her magic is bright chartreuse.
She wears a grey hoodie, occasionally dons one of her many, many hats, and carries a bag with her at all times.
Her accent is predominantly English-- the Yorkshire Dialect, to be specific-- but a bit of a Glaswegian Scottish brogue sometimes sneaks in. This is due to her parents coming from different parts of Trottingham, which is the equivalent to Great Britain and Ireland in my own personal Headcanon.

Detailed Personality
Malachite is a sweet, well-mannered, but incredibly awkward young mare, to the point of almost seeming antisocial. Though not the case, she doesn't quite know how to handle herself in social situations, often fumbling with her words and fiddling with whatever she can get her hooves on, so she opts to keep to herself unless approached.
She's exceedingly kind to a fault, and can be a doormat if she doesn't stand up for herself. Though, if pushed far enough, she will. And she'll let /everypony/ know it. The same can be said of when she sees other ponies being bullied, hurt, or pushed around-- this is a deeply personal thing for her, and will never fail to set the normally laid-back and polite mare off.
Mal is a simple pony who enjoys simple things and is very curious about the world and how things work. She is easily impressed by other ponies and anything else "out-of-the-norm", but generally has a rather low opinion of herself. She's also very proud of her Trottish heritage.
Lately however, she has begun to come out of her shell, thanks to one Lightning Crash, and is a bit more outgoing than before. She's developed a bit of a snark, too.
